The Année préparatoire BTS is a preparatory-level programme designed to prepare students for entry into BTS programmes in the field of international student preparation. Classes are held at Enerlab Academy in Asnières-sur-Seine, 15 minutes from central Paris.

Programme overview

Over 12 months, through work-study (apprenticeship or professionalisation contract) or initial training, the programme combines theoretical coursework, hands-on workshops and company placements. Work-study costs are fully covered by the employer (OPCO), and students receive a legally regulated monthly stipend.

Upon graduation, students enter the job market quickly, supported by Enerlab Academy's network of over 500 partner companies in the Île-de-France region, or continue into higher education.

Goals of the programme:

Prepare international students and career-changers for admission into a BTS programme
Build French as a Foreign Language (FFL) skills up to B2/C1 level (Campus France requirements)
Strengthen academic foundations in mathematics, sciences and general knowledge
Acquire French university study skills (document synthesis, essay writing, note-taking)
Develop an understanding of French professional and cultural norms
Build a coherent study plan with personalised BTS guidance and orientation support

Admission & prerequisites

Required prerequisites and selection procedure:

Upper secondary education level (Baccalauréat or recognised foreign equivalent)
Minimum A2/B1 level of French on entry (free placement test)
International students holding a foreign Baccalauréat wishing to enrol in a BTS programme
Adults in career transition or job seekers requiring academic refresher training
Mandatory motivational interview
Academic file required (transcripts, diplomas translated if foreign)
